A jersey from as far back as the 1920’s is a very rare thing. To have it covered in team repairs is even more so. Made of wool and very small these jerseys were hot and uncomfortable. The #21 is the back of the jersey and there is nothing on the front. This jersey was likely worn during the defeat of Notre Dame and the Four Horseman in 1922 or 1923. The specific history behind it, while unknown due to it’s age, is fun to think about.
